DreadSamurai Wow! This is one of those weird compilations that I never even knew existed. I've had Vol. 1 for years but definitely excited to have Vol. 2! It's not musically my favorite release but it's extremely rare and as a collector that's often enough; to lose sleep over a coveted yet to be acquired LP. Favorite track: Sweet Child.

From the vaults of Studio One comes an eclectic grouping of rare shots picked from the treasure chest of the label’s releases. Here album tracks by Willie Williams, Lennie Hibbert and Freddie McGregor are joined by rarer releases by the Conquerors, Cool Operator, Roy Richards and the Freedom Singers. Also included are alternate versions of songs like "All the Way" and "Jah Light" as well as "Pirates Choice" that have circulated among Studio One collectors for some years.

There is an unauthorized version of this album circulating from Japan aptly titled Pirates Choice Vol. 2. The Studio One album Pirates Choice Vol. 2 will also be released physically with additional tracks.

Truly essential!!! B&F's Jesus Dread compilation was the start for me, and I still value it above many other releases. Still it is a revealation to hear this album in its original running order, followed by dubs that compile the best of Bs and Prophecy of Dub. And it SOUNDS so incredible!!!
