This album has a fine selection of rare cuts Clement Dodd produced during the early reggae years of 1968-1973. The 14 numbers include vocal standouts by Burning Spear, Alton Ellis, Ken Parker, the Heptones, and Larry Marshall. On the instrumental and DJ side, the disc has a few tasty offerings by organist Jackie Mittoo (Dodd's musical director during the late '60s), Jackie and the Invaders, and the early toaster Prince Francis. A quality compilation perfect for fans hungry for some of Studio One's more obscure material.
